About the open position:
We're currently seeking a talented Data Engineer to provide quality client deliverables to our clients. These deliverables include accurate data files and reports to drive strategic fundraising decisions for our clients.
This is a full-time, salaried, remote position open to candidates in the US who are eligible to work without current or future sponsorship. The salary range is $50,000 to $60,000 annually, depending on skills and expertise.
What you'll do:
- Prepare data for analytical and operational use using ETL tools.
- Ensure data is in usable formats for data queries and predictive analytics, machine learning and data mining.
- Deliver data segmentation, list manipulation, and various data processing requests for complex direct marketing campaigns.
- Work with Data Scientists to improve business use of data.
- Participate in Agile workflows involving large development efforts.
- Ensure the delivery of each client's jobs on time and with the highest level of service and quality.
- Build relationships with clients and develop communication channels to ensure smooth workflow.
- Exceed client expectations and provide superior customer service.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve the overall operations through continuous process improvements and automation.
- Perform quality checks and document processes and job requirements, regularly contributing to the team's knowledge base.
- Establish technical proficiency with vendor applications.
- Use tools to integrate, consolidate, cleanse, structure, and verify data integrity.
- Consult with developers and non-technical marketing partners and clients.
- Design, build, and launch efficient and reliable pipelines to move data across platforms.
What you'll bring to the role:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- A strong background in segmentation, list pulls, data hygiene, and data processing services.
- A good working knowledge of T-SQL and the ability to process multiple data formats using ETL and SSIS tools; SSMS, C#, R, Python, SQL, Azure Pipeline, Alteryx, and PowerBI.
- A working knowledge of donor management or fundraising CRM software.
You'll be a top candidate if you:
- Experience with JIRA, GitHub, AWS a plus.
- Experience in Cloud database - Snowflake, AzureSQL DW a plus.
