About the role:
As a Data Engineer, you will be a key player in designing, constructing, and maintaining the systems and architecture required for efficient data processing. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration, storage, and retrieval, contributing to the overall success of our data-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate data storage solutions seamlessly.
- Work closely with customers to understand data requirements and provide effective solutions.
- Optimize and troubleshoot database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
- Develop and implement data security and privacy measures.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements to propose innovative solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Mandarin required.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
- Proficiency in SQL database design, implementation, and optimization.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Airflow.
- Machine learning experience is highly preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices.
- Experience collaborating with backend engineers and understanding their requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
