About the role:

As a Data Engineer, you will be a key player in designing, constructing, and maintaining the systems and architecture required for efficient data processing. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration, storage, and retrieval, contributing to the overall success of our data-driven initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate data storage solutions seamlessly.
  • Work closely with customers to understand data requirements and provide effective solutions.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Develop and implement data security and privacy measures.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements to propose innovative solutions.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Proficiency in SQL database design, implementation, and optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake and Airflow.
  • Machine learning experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing principles and best practices.
  • Experience collaborating with backend engineers and understanding their requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
