Job Description
Alderson Loop is looking for a Data Engineer to join a project with an enterprise client in the Energy space. This individual will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and upgrades to our data pipeline. We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, who is proficient in Python, Pandas, SQL, and large-scale data management and cleanup.
Nice-to-haves include experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, PowerBI data flow pipelines, Excel ETL, and API familiarity. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an Agile work environment and have experience with creating datasets from multiple sources, debugging and polishing real-time data pipelines, and Python notebook development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain data pipelines to ensure the smooth flow of data from multiple sources.
- Work closely with the Data Science team to understand data requirements and develop solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Perform data analysis and develop insights to drive business decisions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in Data Engineering.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a Data Engineering role.
- Proficiency in Python, Pandas, SQL, and large-scale data management and cleanup.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, AWS, PowerBI data flow pipelines, Excel ETL, and API familiarity is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
