The Finance Data & Insights Team is an agile product team responsible for the development, production, and transformation of Financial data and reporting across CCB. As a Data Domain Architect Associate on the CCB Finance Data & Insights Team, you will play a key role in delivering monthly internal, external, and regulatory financial results for our Wealth Management line of business. You will identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes and utilize automation tools such as Alteryx, and partner with our Information Technology partners for system enhancements. You will extract, analyze, and summarize data for ad hoc stakeholder requests, and play a role in transforming our data environment to a modernized cloud platform.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will contribute to the transformation and modernization of our data environment to serve the analytical and reporting needs of the CCB WM Finance Organization
  • Lead intelligence solution requirements gathering sessions with varying levels of leadership, complete detailed project planning utilizing JIRA to record planned project execution steps
  • You will partner with the Technology Team to design and deliver Data Domains into the Finance Data Mart ( Databricks / Snowflake) that brings together essential data categories to enable the Finance function to support their analytical and reporting needs
  • Execute critical monthly financial reporting processes using Excel, SQL, Alteryx and Essbase
  • This role requires an understanding of data architecture, data integration, and data warehousing, as well as strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and ensure alignment with the organization's objectives
  • Source and maintain the Financial and Operational data required to transform and maintain the Wealth Management reporting on a weekly basis
  • Conduct detailed reconciliation of results between data systems and business intelligence tools
  • Partner in the development of data wrangling workflows, data visualization solutions utilizing ThoughtSpot and Tableau and other end-user reporting interfaces and that provides intuitive insights to our key stakeholders
  • Work with IT to migrate to production the developed solutions and as an SME/escalation point for the deployed solutions
  • Work closely with end-users/IT during the UAT phase of the project and validate that production results comply with business requirements and expected results
  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to ad-hoc requests, \"what-if\" scenario data analytics, and regulatory inquiries
  • Eliminate manual processes with automation tools
  • Develop expertise in our financial reporting platforms and support data analysis requests
  • Extract, analyze, and summarize data for ad hoc management requests
  • Communicate with stakeholders to gather enhancement requirements and partner with IT for implementation
  • Become a subject matter expert in these responsibilities and support team members in becoming more proficient themselves
  • Participate in data environment transformation projects

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with relational databases optimizing SQL to pull and summarize large datasets, report creation and ad-hoc analyses
  • Experience with business intelligence analytic and data wrangling tools such as Alteryx, SAS, or Python
  • Data Integration and ETL: Knowledge of techniques for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data
  • Data Warehousing: Understanding of data warehousing concepts and knowledge of design principles
  • Data Quality Management: Understanding of strategies and tools for data profiling, cleansing, and validation to maintain high data quality
  • Big Data and Analytics: Awareness of technologies and frameworks for handling large volumes of data (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and knowledge of analytical tools
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of programming languages relevant to data manipulation and analysis (e.g., SQL, Python, R)
  • Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of the specific industry or business domain in which the organization operates
  • Demonstrated experience delivering process improvement or automation
  • Highly motivated, self-directed, curious to learn new technologies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Proficient user of Excel
  • Experience in reporting development and testing, and ability to interpret unstructured data and draw objective inferences given known limitations of the data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred qualifications capabilities, and skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in data analytics, architecture, or financial reporting systems
  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or other with relevant work experience
  • Experience with Hive, Spark SQL, Impala or other big-data query tools
  • Experience with Alteryx or ThoughtSpot
  • AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or other Cloud Data Warehouse experience
  • Hyperion Essbase cube design and administration experience
  • Experience eliminating user tools, saving time, and increasing ability to generate insights through data, dashboards, and developing new capabilities
  • Strong knowledge and experience with data management, data lineage, data dictionaries, and making data discoverable
  • Data Visualization: Proficiency in using visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create meaningful insights from data

For this particular role, we are unable to sponsor any type of work visa including but not limited to H1B, H4 - EAD, OPT, TN, or L visas.

This role does not have a relocation allowance tied to it, so all candidates must be local to Jersey City, NJ or Columbus, OH office or willing to relocate on their own immediately upon hiring. Candidates must be able to physically work in our Jersey City, NJ or Columbus, OH office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined by direct management.
