Job DescriptionInformation About the role:
We are seeking a Data Analyst to join the digital data services team at Crum & Forster. As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in turning complex data into actionable insights for the Surplus & Specialty Team by developing dashboards/reports via Business Intelligence tools (such as Tableau and SSRS). The ideal candidate should have a strong background in data analysis, relational databases, and Tableau.
What you will do:
- Developing, maintaining, and managing advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions.
- Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
- Working with the other Digital teams to help provide reporting and analytical solutions to new systems and portals as they are developed
- Working with our databases, both on prem and in the cloud, by developing queries, views, tables, etc, to facilitate data solutions
- Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.
- Creating tools to store data within the organization.
- Communicating with all levels of the organization to design and develop BI solutions
- Utilize JIRA to track and manage the progress of tasks, ensuring timely completion and adherence to weekly sprints.
What you will bring to C&F:
- Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, computer science, information systems, or related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in developing, maintaining and managing Tableau dashboards and working knowledge of Tableau administration/architecture.
- At least 2 years of complex work experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DB2, etc.)
- Knowledge of efficiency techniques when building queries and developing reports/dashboards
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and managing SSRS Reports
- Proficiency in use of query and reporting analysis tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey data insights and collaborate with stakeholders
- Ability to travel once per quarter.

The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $48,300.00 to a maximum of $109,900.00. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee's contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
