Summary: Community Advocates for Family & Youth (CAFY) is dedicated to upholding the rights of victims of crime and strives for the empowerment and emotional, physical, and financial recovery of victims. Regardless of your role, victim services is highly interactive and may deal directly with victims, helping abused parents and their children cope with changes, challenges, and unsafe environments in their lives, along with case management, crisis intervention, service referral, and financial and educational functions.
Role Overview: Work with staff to develop and implement methods for evaluating programs, and managing and analyzing data. Use strong analytical skills and innate curiosity about the world that leads to always asking why to summarize findings from surveys, focus groups, and evaluations in written reports and presentations that are clear and easy to understand.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Use quantitative and qualitative research skills to synthesize data on CAFYs impact in Prince Georges County that are documented in periodic reports, presentations, and infographics. Periodic reports and presentations include the monthly contributions reports for case managers, police trends report, monthly CAFY snapshot, and quarterly organizational presentation.
Ensure data consistency by monitoring staffs data entries and adherence to data guides for Salesforce, SimplePractice, and MyCase. If data guides are non-existent, create guides after consulting with relevant staff.
Develop competency in Salesforce to (i) create new fields and objects, (ii) conduct basic troubleshooting, and (iii) serve as CAFYs technical support
Liaise with relevant staff to ensure survey data are collected periodically. If necessary, work with staff to create necessary survey instruments.
Conduct interviews, facilitate focus group sessions, and monitor survey response rates in Qualtrics, Google Forms, etc. Incorporate feedback into relevant reports, presentations, and ad-hoc data requirements
Collect data and other relevant information to support various federal and state grant applications
Ensure compliance with grant data requirements by reviewing applications and creating summary sheets to track data.
Monitor and remain updated on developments within social services, evaluation research and literature, practices, methods, and applications and disseminate this information with staff.
Make recommendation on tools that will enhance your ability to analyze community contribution and impact.
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Able to quickly respond to changing priorities, while meeting deadlines.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Economics, Data Science & Analytics, or relevant field.
Skills: Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, Time Management and Organizational Skills, and Critical Thinking
Requirements:
Complete in-house training
Criminal background check, including no pending criminal cases or prior convictions for sexual assault, child abuse, or domestic violence or history thereof
Must have understanding of, sensitivity and commitment to working with families, individuals with trauma related experiences.
