Data Analyst Iii

The main function of a Data Analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. A typical database analyst/programmer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database. Job Responsibilities:

• Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
• Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate database development and determine project scope and limitations.
• Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate the time and cost required to accomplish the project.

Skills:

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Basic mentoring skills are necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
• Knowledge of database management software.

Education/Experience:

• Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required.

Key Projects:

• Coordinate changes to a computer database.
• Test, and implement the database.
• Interfacing with the cross-functional team.
• Provide targeted data sets / augment data sets.
• Market strategy.
• Proactive in insights generation.
• Optimization and utilization of the data.
• Proactive in reaching out to the cross-functional team.

Must haves:

• Marketing sales experience – business teams.
• Strong Business acumen – generate insights that will have an impact on sales; Data Analyst, generating revenue.
• Experience working with teams in different time zones.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
• Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
• Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
• Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
