Starbucks Global Sourcing Operations and Governance is seeking an experienced data analyst to inculcate and advance best-in-class analytics, qualitative insights, and data leadership. This role leads critical insights nurturing a data-driven and problem-solving culture.

Partner in this role will steward data management requirements for key programs while fostering partnerships with adjacent finance and technology teams to amplify data dexterity and user capabilities.

As a data analyst, you will…

o Maintain internal data, dashboards, and template libraries.

o Establish, extract, and disseminate standardized metrics and data formats. Performs exploratory data analysis, cleanses, and aggregation.

o Mine data, gleaning insights to drive business decisions and sourcing strategies.

o Steward of data management requirements for key programs to driving user story engagement and amplify fact-based decision making across executive leadership teams.

o Develop fit for purpose custom dashboard solutions. Provides analytic support (code documentation, data transformations, algorithms, etc.) to technology teams collaborating on analytic insights and recommendations into business processes.


We’d love to hear from people with:

o Progressive experience in supply chain analytics, modeling, and dashboard development

o Collaborative approaches to provide effective visual presentations of analytical insights and concise summaries of methodology tailored to varied audiences, both in discipline and decision ownership.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

o Education: BA/BS with concentration in quantitative discipline – Statistics, Math, Comp Science, Engineering, Econ, Qualitative Social Science or similar discipline

o Ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.

o Business-applicable experience in several Modeling & Machine learning Techniques (regression, tree models, survival analysis, cluster analysis, forecasting, anomaly detection, association rules, etc.)

o Experienced user of Incorta, Oracle, and SQL

o Exposure and business-applicable experience in several data ETL (Teradata, Python, Java, Ruby, Pig)

o Exposure and business-applicable experience in several analytic languages (R, SAS, SPSS, Stata)

o Big data processing techniques, preferred

o Retail, Customer loyalty, eCommerce, or supply chain experience, preferred
