Salary: $56,127.00 annually
Reports to:Data Analyst Supervisor
Hours: Mon. - Fri., 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in statistics, mathematics, epidemiology, public health, or related field.
- Minimum of three years of related experience [OR seven years of experience (with HS Diploma/GED), OR five years of experience (with an Associate's degree), OR one year of experience (with a Ph.D.)] including data analysis, data management & manipulation, query writing (i.e., SQL or techniques), report writing, and database design.
- Proficiency with data management/analysis software (i.e., SAS, SPSS, ArcGIS, etc.).
- Working knowledge of relational database software/applications (i.e., Redcap), data search and export tools (i.e., Census], and office support software (i.e., Adobe).
- Familiarity with web-based project management and file-sharing platforms (i.e., Basecamp, Dropbox, etc.)
- Ability to efficiently multi-task on a daily basis.
- Proficiency with the use of PC hardware & basic software (i.e., Microsoft Office), email, and office equipment (i.e., copier, fax, scanner, telephone, etc.). Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Good customer service, verbal and written communication skills, and effective presentation skills. Good interpersonal relationship skills including cultural sensitivity & competence.
- Proficiency with the use of databases, data querying, and reporting.
- Mathematical aptitude necessary to perform statistical analysis.
- Enhance efforts to prevent opioid overdoses
- Rapidly identify nonfatal opioid overdoses and clusters for the purposes of conducting immediate response to implement prevention and control measures and provide treatment referrals in order to prevent additional overdose
- Provide enhanced information to improve the allocation of resources for prevention and treatment services
- Help estimate the magnitude of the problem and track longitudinal trends including changes in the epidemic
- Identify high-risk areas and sub-groups of the population
- Investigate novel exposure pathways, previously unknown overdose scenarios, and the emergence of new opioid analogs
- Evaluate the impact, effectiveness, and scale of interventions, including the widespread availability of naloxone, mental health promotion, and services, prescription drug monitoring programs (PDMPs), medication-assisted treatment (MAT), efforts to reduce stigma and improve care-seeking behaviors and harm reduction programs such as needle exchange/syringe service programs and safe injection facilities
- Analyzes quantitative and qualitative data using software and manual manipulation techniques. Interprets and presents results to CCBH staff and stakeholders using graphs, charts, etc.
- Extracts and manipulates data from internal or external databases on a routine and ad hoc basis. Develops and delivers usable reports & presentations to CCBH service areas and stakeholders regarding analysis results.
- Audits databases to identify actual or potential data integrity issues (i.e. duplicates, errors, untimely entries, etc.). Conducts research & consults with service area staff to determine the best course of action to handle issue(s). Develops databases for service areas as needed.
- Develops program evaluation plans, processes, and instruments.
- Coordinates implementation and monitoring of evaluation plans. Advises program staff on data setup.
- Analyzes reports from data audits to provide service area communication inclusive of data reports on a routine (monthly, weekly, daily, etc.) or as needed basis.
- Writes codes to identify, analyze, and interpret trends and patterns in complex data sets.
- Participates in the development and maintenance of agency-wide databases and data collection systems needed for data storage or processing.
- Trains employees and interns on federal assurance requirements, data analysis-related concepts, and/or CCBH accreditation information.
- Correlates disease causes & risk factors with CCBH data trends. Provides information along with responses from stakeholders for use in CCBH programs and services.
- Partners with other IT staff to develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
- Ensures that data submitted to external agencies meets all applicable laws and regulations as they relate to reporting requirements.
- Partners with CCBH staff in the automation and improvement of workflow processes.
- Participates in public health emergency activities as needed.
- Collaborates with internal and external partners on special projects as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
