Job Description:
This position works closely with internal customers and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. Involved in the full systems life cycle and responsible for designing, coding, testing, and implementing software delivered on time and within budget. Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and buy vs. build recommendations.
Essentials Functions:
- Performs market research projects by identifying the best methodology for the study needed, define questionnaires to address information needs/gaps, sample design, supplier supervision, report preparation, and knowledge transfer.
- Performs data mining and analyze large sets of data to identify patterns and trends by applying quantitative and analytical tools. Ensures data quality by performing segmentation, applicable policies, and accuracy audits. Uses statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful reports.
- Develops analysis and recurrent reports for management and internal clients, presenting the results of research and analysis. Provides concise data reports and clear data visualizations for management.
- Supports big data environments that enable analytics solutions on a variety of big data platforms, including assessing the usefulness of new technologies and advocating for their adoption.
- Identifies and fix data quality, integrity, and consistency issues.
- Helps facilitate processes to translate data insights into strategic direction.
- Supports the supervisor in the integration of market data from all sources (customer survey and qualitative data, customer databases, market measures, competitive intelligence, market assessments, industry reports, etc.).
- Abilities to apply advanced analysis methodologies, interpret and present findings in a clear, concise manner, including creating and using tables, charts, and graphics to summarize results.
- Identifies new opportunities or techniques to gather and analyze behavioral, interest, and predictive data.
- Identifies the company’s data needs and collect, clean, and analyze large data sets.
- Develops machine learning algorithms and models to predict future behavior and improve business performance.
- Presents and communicates the findings and results to team members and senior management of the company in a clear and concise manner.
- Works collaboratively with other team members, including data engineers, programmers, and designers, to develop effective data and business solutions.
- Executes any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or Information Technology from an accredited university or related experience in supporting regulated systems.
- MCSA, MCSE, or other professional certifications, are preferred.
- The position requires three (3) years of related experience.
- Minimum three years of BI Developing, Data Analysis, and Data Modeling
- Minimum three years of SQL skills and proficiency in database management systems.
- Knowledge in best practices implementing Datawarehouse.
- Advanced skills in Transact-SQL (T-SQL).
- Cloud Computing: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
- Experience with Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and other visualization tools.
- Experience in Scrum, Lean, or other Agile methodologies and general software lifecycle.
- Language skills in Spanish and English.
