- EDI Program and Data Management
- Lead and oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) program.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of EDI processes with existing systems and applications.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in EDI technology to drive continuous improvement.
- Manage and maintain electronic data repositories, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Develop and implement data management policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts to extract valuable insights from structured and unstructured data.
- Data Processing and Analytics
- Collaborate with senior management, business analysts and other stakeholders in the development of data products such as reports and dashboards.
- Design, develop and test ETL processes that make data easily consumable by end users and other systems per business requirements.
- Load/extract data from multiple data sources both on-premise and externally from the cloud.
- Use statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports and dashboards.
- Identify and recommend new ways to save money by streamlining business processes through workflow automation and data integration.
- Use data to create models that depict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole.
- Work with customers to outline the specific data needs for each business method analysis project.
- Plans and schedule project deliverables, goals, milestones.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in the development, testing, and implementation life cycles.
- Architecture and Data Maintenance
- Provide insight into the changing database storage and utilization requirements for the company and offer suggestions for solutions.
- Analyze database implementation methods to make sure they are in line with company policies and any external regulations that may apply.
- Document complex technical design/requirements for integrations and data warehousing.
- Help maintain the integrity and security of the company database.
- Customer Service and Troubleshooting
- Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and coworkers is crucial. Regular use of phone and email for communication is essential. Hearing and vision correctable to within normal ranges are essential for normal conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for all Tier 2 support from our Tier 1 vendor.
- Provide operational support for the IT department via the Help Desk ticketing system.
- Analyzes products and makes recommendations to IT Team.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in one or more of the following: educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Create and maintain documentation of IT processes and procedures.
- Travel to other sites Honolulu, Hilo, Kona, and Los Angeles.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Regular attendance is required for this position.
- Must have at least 1-2 years of experience with managing or administering EDI processes and/or systems.
- Must have at least 1-3 years of experience as a Data Technician, Database Developer, or ETL Analysis.
- Must have a bachelor's degree (preferably in Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field from an accredited university or college); or at least five (5) years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Dynamics, SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, and Azure cloud services, preferred.
- Familiarity working with. Net Framework, JavaScript, and HTML.
- Advanced experience in developing custom data models, algorithms, data integration, data cataloging, and metadata management.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Skills in database query language and semantic modeling are preferred.
- Skills in data analytics, reports, visualizations, and dashboards are preferred.
- Highly skilled in processes related to project life cycles, software development life cycles, requirements gathering, testing methodologies, and source control.
