Job Title: Data Analyst
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in South Bend, IN. Low Associates provides premium software applications aiding Indiana schools and local governments with an integrated Property Tax and ERP Solution. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for aiding in the conversion process from other systems, managing and communicating with other vendors on shared data feeds and working with customers on advanced data questions and concerns.
An Understanding of Property Tax and/or ERP Financial data is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with project managers and data administrators to understand data conversion requirements and timelines.
2. Develop, test, and execute complex data conversion programs/scripts to ensure accurate and efficient data migration.
3. Identify data mapping requirements, transform data from source systems, and load data into our database.
4. Analyze and validate converted data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data integrity throughout the conversion process.
6. Document data conversion processes, update data dictionaries, and maintain accurate records of all data processing activities.
7. Perform data extraction, cleansing, and validation to ensure the integrity and consistency of data.
8. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
9. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices related to data conversion and data management.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
2. Proven work experience as a Data Conversion Specialist, Project Manager or similar role
3. Knowledge of SQL, scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), and data manipulation tools (e.g., Excel, Access).
4. Proficiency in working with different file formats (e.g., XML, CSV, flat files) and experience in extracting data from various data sources (e.g., databases, APIs).
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for data accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members.
7. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
8. Any relevant certifications in data management or ETL tools would be advantageous.
