General Purpose
We are excited to announce that we are currently seeking a Dance Instructor II to join our team at the Recreation Center. As the Dance Instructor, you will have the opportunity to teach youth of various skill levels and all ages in various forms of dance while working in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Under the supervision of the Recreation Coordinator, you will be responsible for choreographing dance routines and practices at the performing level. You will also assist with setup, preparation, and planning of dance classes, as well as develop and implement dance curriculum. Additionally, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and fun learning environment for all participants, while following all City and Department guidelines and policies.
We will review applications every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.
The hiring range for this position is $17.16 - $19.43 per hour.

Recreation Center Membership: Employees are eligible for a membership to the Commerce City Recreation Center for $5.00 per year.
Golf Course Green Fees: Employees can play the City's award-winning Buffalo Run Golf Course at a rate of $9.00 for 9-holes or $18.00 for 18-holes. Employees can also purchase golf merchandise at discounted prices.
Benefits: The city monitors the hours worked for seasonal and variable hour employees. In the event that they work more than 1,560 hours within the ACA measurement period, they will be offered health benefits.
Wellness: Employees are eligible to earn up to $100 for participation in various wellness activities offered by the City throughout the year.
Eligibility for Pay Increases: Employees are eligible for a pay increase around the time of their annual appraisal following a successful evaluation.
