Jan's School of Dance has been providing quality dance education since 1959. We are a recital studio that provides classes from September to June culminating in a recital for our parents and caregivers. We also have a competitive dance team that attends regional and national competitions throughout the year. We also offer a 6 week summer session from mid-June through Juy.
Overview: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Instructor to join our team. As a Dance Instructor, you will have the opportunity to inspire and teach students of all ages and skill levels. If you have a love for dance and a desire to share your knowledge and expertise, we want to hear from you. Duties: - Plan and deliver engaging dance lessons to students, incorporating various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary - Teach proper dance techniques, body alignment, and coordination - Create choreography for performances and recitals - Provide constructive feedback and guidance to students to help them improve their skills - Develop age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the curriculum - Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all students - Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to coordinate performances and events Qualifications: - Extensive experience in dance, with proficiency in multiple dance styles - Strong knowledge of dance techniques, terminology, and choreography - Previous experience teaching dance to students of various ages and skill levels - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to effectively manage a classroom setting - Knowledge of early childhood education or childhood development is a plus - Competitive compensation based on experience - Opportunities for professional development and growth within the organization If you are passionate about dance and enjoy working with students of all ages, we would love to hear from you.
