Responsibilities Performs technical, clerical and administrative functions associated with the cytologic examination of cytopathological specimens.

Screening Non GYN specimens as well as Rapid onsite adequacy assessment at the Tabor Road and Elkins Park sites and Cytoprep. Responsible for all QA/QC and regulatory issues for the area. Coordinates the performance of routine and special procedures with available manpower, equipment and reagent/supply sources.

Monitors turnaround times to insure timely availability of results to patient care areas.Maintains skills in associated areas of responsibility. Minimum Education, Experience, and Certification Requirements Degree in Biological Science with 12 months CAHEA accredited Cytotechnology program is required. A minimum of 3 years cytotechnology experience is required for QA/supervisory type responsibilities.

Cytotechnologist certification (CT(ASCP) or equivalent required Conditions of Employment Covid Vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University. If you are not currently vaccinated you will be required to receive the vaccination prior to hire date if you are offered employment, unless you request and receive an approved medical or religious exemption from Jefferson.
