Position Summary:
A Cycle Counter is responsible for counting and monitoring product inventories in a warehouse to ensure materials align with the declared list and documents. Besides their cycle counting responsibilities, they will also assist in conducting reviews and assessments, utilizing special software to evaluate product inventories, maintaining records, organizing products according to specified locations, and reporting inconsistent or damaged goods. A Cycle Counter may also develop and recommend strategies to enhance inventory procedures. Must be self-driven and self-motivated and have the desire to improve or to meet certain standards, as well as, have a commitment to personal or organizational goals.
Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily cycle counts using ABC analysis
  • Prepare and execute counts, report count results
  • Maintain ABC Classification Tables
  • Investigate and Resolve Inventory Discrepancies. Initiate root cause analysis and corrective action as needed
  • Audit Warehouse for Accuracy of Product Storage, checking labels, ensuring product placed in each slot matches the system.
  • Conduct weekly inventory of damaged, obsolete, or slow-moving material
  • Knowledge of material movement so to pinpoint where an error took place
  • Assist Inventory Manager with any inventory variances in perpetual records
  • Ability to analyze records of data
  • Assist and respond to Inquiries from Accounting
  • Conduct Audits of Receiving, Transfer & Shipping Documentation
  • Knowledge of home building or manufacturing preferred
  • Self-starter, has initiative to take ownership of role
  • Efficient in math - add, subtract, divide, and multiply
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skillset
  • Able to take direction from manager and complete tasks/projects as assigned

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; or equivalent experience
  • Must have the ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Must have a passion for quality and be naturally attentive to details
  • Must be reliable and able to work at an efficient pace
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • MS office skillset
  • Able to read and interpret documents
  • Inventory or Warehouse management skills
  • Integrity and professionalism

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift and / or carry up to 35 lbs.
  • Must be able to effectively verbally communicate and exchange information with others.
  • Work will be completed in parts of the facility that are not temperature controlled.
  • Work is primarily completed by standing or walking and may require bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching
