Job Description

We-re looking for a dynamic Cybersecurity Technical Writer/Editor.

What you get to do every day:

+ Serve as an Action Officer for the Department-s Cybersecurity Training & Awareness Program Support

+ Plan, develop, and organize the department's cybersecurity training and awareness program strategy.

+ Develop content, communications, and facilitate awareness for all training campaigns as well as the ISSO forum training.

+ Plan, organize, and coordinate all annual training awareness campaigns events, including the facilitation of dates, locations, representation, and agendas and coordination support for necessary events.

+ Research, develop, prepare, and edit products to include graphics/presentations, speeches, and other communications vehicles in support of the Training & Awareness Program.

+ Gather historical and statistical data to support product developments.

+ Engage external organizations to identify and develop required engagements, contributions, and participation for campaigns.

+ Coordinate scheduling and other administrative support with Department leadership, participating staff, and external participants.

Qualifications

+ Appropriate US Government Clearance Required

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

+ Minimum eight (8) years of general work experience and six (6) years of relevant functional experience

+ Knowledge of cybersecurity threats

+ Knowledge of information system technologies

+ Experience with online research techniques

+ Excellent written and oral communication

+ 4+ years of experience in IT security and awareness training program requirements

+ Experience planning, preparing, and managing training program communications

+ Experience developing new training content, materials, and courses

+ Experience with Adobe products, including Adobe Captivate for content development

+ Experience in desktop publishing.

+ Experience with various learning types and training delivery methods.

+ Copy editing experience, ie formatting and editing

What is ideal?

+ Experience in graphics development

+ Experience developing trainings for Federal Civilian Government clients

+ Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically $100-125k. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
