Cybersecurity Engineer - Washington, DC

Company:

CEE Corporation Federate division is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the federal work Business for our Federal government and Department of Defense (DoD) Army, Navy, and more agencies client support. . It specializes in providing enhanced Cybersecurity also offers superior customer support by virtue of its end-to-end control of service delivery and network monitoring. Responsibilities:

• Understanding of current cyber technologies, trends within cyber space, and current DoD policy guidance.
• Perform proactive and active security vulnerability assessment, implementation, and monitoring of all products and applications in sustainment.
• Probe network defenses to identify vulnerabilities and administer network scans.
• Implement, monitor, and manage security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
• Identify and define system security requirements.
• Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs.
• Expertise in using ACAS tools for vulnerability scanning and compliance assessments.
• Knowledgeable in the ATO accreditation process and tools, ensuring systems meet necessary security requirements for federal operation.
• Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
• Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks.
• Conduct regular security audits to ensure practices are compliant.
• Update and upgrade security systems as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Skillsets:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a cybersecurity role, preferably in a federal security environment.
• Strong knowledge and experience with DISA, ACAS tools, and ATO accreditation processes.
• Understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
• Familiarity with web-related technologies and network/web-related protocols.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Education:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or relevant field with 3-10 years of cybersecurity experience.

Certification:

• CompTIA Security+ certification required
• Additional Relevant certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, etc.) are preferable.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Cybersecurity engineer with strong hands-on technical skills.

• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills are required. The ability to identify and analyze problems and is absolutely key to being successful as a Cybersecurity Engineer
• Technical Expertise: Optical experience on Cisco 15454 or NCS1K equipment including troubleshooting hardware problems and circuit building and management through a MSTP network. Strong working knowledge of IP, including IP network architecture, routing protocols, peering relationships, DNS, and network monitoring tools is required
• Equipment Expertise: Strong working knowledge of Cisco switches, routers and transport equipment like the ASR9K router, 7600 series routers, 6500 series switches , 4900 series switches, 3550 series switches, 15454 and NCS1K transport equipment
• Effective written and verbal communications skills are required
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience, certifications, or training
• Experience: 2-10 years of IP Backbone experience preferably in a Network Operations Center environment
