AddressCyberSecurity Engineer - (Intern - Summer 2024)
SRC, Inc. (https://www.srcinc.com) is currently seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer (Intern - Summer 2024). The selected candidate will work as part our Cybersecurity Engineering team to enhance the security posture of SRC systems and applications.
What You'll Do
Work with the Cybersecurity Engineering team to ensure that cybersecurity procedures are documented and followed to ensure the security of customer systems
Security Evaluation of hardware and software for suitability
Evaluation of system changes to determine impact to system security and authorization status
Evaluate System security test plans for completeness to assess security controls
What You'll Bring
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related field (or working toward said degree), with a minimum GPA of 3.0
Experience: Entry level
Knowledge of network protocols and topologies
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
Knowledge cybersecurity tools including, vulnerability scanners, port analyzers, and other cybersecurity software a plus

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $22 to $26/hour. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
