Job Summary:
Rhodian Cybersecurity, an AdarIT partner, is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant who is passionate about penetration testing to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for assisting our clients in their security assessment needs. This will include performing network and web application penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, and security assessments of clients' environments to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement. At times, the Penetration Tester will also work with other internal teams to collaborate on deliverables.
This is a technical role; the candidate should have experience performing Penetration Tests, Vulnerability Assessments, and must be comfortable with scoping, technical testing in production environments, report writing, and debriefing key client stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be able to grow to support all security practice offerings in a pre and post sales role.
Minimal travel is required.
This is a remote position.
Ideal Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience performing penetration testing for web applications, internal/external networks, cloud environments, and wireless networks
- Previous IT experience outside of cybersecurity (example: network/sysadmin or web developer)
- Relevant certifications, such as OSCP, GPEN, CEH, etc. are a plus
- Strong knowledge in most of the following areas:
- Network and system administration
- Modern penetration testing tools and methods
- Web-based application security concepts
- Cloud services (GCP, AWS, and Azure)
- Network protocols and routing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Skilled with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, Ruby, etc.
- Experience with penetration testing frameworks and tools, such as Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nessus, Nmap, etc.
- Knowledge of emerging security technologies, software, and methodologies
- Think creatively when dealing with complex situations and attempting to manipulate and circumvent network systems
- Assist and teach peers
- Keen analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to write about and present technical topics to both technical and executive level clients
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, while understanding their business and needs
- Work and interact with clients of various backgrounds and technical knowledge
- Work independently with minimal oversight
