We are seeking a detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our cybersecurity team. The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a crucial role in protecting our organization's information systems and data from potential threats and vulnerabilities. The Analyst will be responsible for monitoring security events, analyzing risks, and implementing effective security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, a deep understanding of cybersecurity best practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibility:
- Perform daily and recurring security operations-related tasks
- Participate in system baselining, assessments, investigations, and testing as required
- Monitor and analyze security incidents and assist in the escalation of security events
- Complete all tasks, assignments, goals, and objectives by the assigned due date
- Participate in change management as needed
- Create new and/or update existing procedures during security operations execution
- Document process and procedures to help educate the team on new products, services, or implementations
Qualifications:
- Incident reporting, vulnerability assessments, and remediation, threat management, and forensic analysis are preferred
- 2-4 years overall technical experience in either threat hunting, threat intelligence, incident response, security operations, or related information security field
- 2-4 years experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, and/or vulnerability management
- Understanding of common network and application stack protocols, including but not limited to TCP/IP, SMTP, DNS, TLS, XML, HTTP, etc...
- Experience managing Active Directory with Group Policy is required
- Administration of Active Directory in an Office 365 Hybrid environment is required
- Experience with security operations tools is preferred, including SIEM, Network analysis, and signature development/management (e.g., Splunk, Snort, etc.)
- Broad experience with various common security infrastructure tools (e.g., NIDS, HIPS, etc.)
- Understanding of multiple security domains: Network, Data, Identity, Application, Cloud O/S: Windows, MAC, Linux, Cisco IOS, VM Ware Network: Firewalls, Proxy Servers, Reverse Proxy Servers, IPS, SIEM, SASE
- Firewall management experience is preferred (e.g., Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.)
- Meraki cloud management experience is preferred
- Endpoint protection management experience is preferred (e.g., Symantec, Sophos, McAfee, etc.)
- Cisco Umbrella experience is preferred
- Scripting experience related to system administration and security operations (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) is preferred
- Experience implementing Multi-Factor authentication and securing with best practices is preferred (e.g., RSA, Okta, Microsoft, etc.)
- Experience with the KnowBe4 console is preferred (e.g., Phishing campaigns, security awareness training, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaboration skills, and the ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
