Lockheed Martin Enterprise Information Technology (Enterprise IT) Corporate Information Security (CIS) is seeking an Information Assurance / Security Engineering intern who also has experience with software development, automation, and cloud technologies such as Microsoft Azure. In this role, you will:
• Work with individuals from a variety of technical and functional disciplines to provide guidance on cloud-based solutions that meet overall business needs while also embedding necessary security controls from end-to-end.
• Conduct cyber risk assessment activities including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis and analysis of mitigation solutions
• Develop, evaluate and analyze design constrains, trade-offs and detailed system and security design
• Designing and validating security standards, policies, and solutions that align with the dynamic and agile nature of cloud environments.
• Coordinate with Cyber and system architects and developers to provide oversight in the development of solutions.
• Employ cyber security processes, methods, techniques and tools and assure their consistent application.
• Automate security solutions using tools standard in the cloud / DevSecOps industry.
• Engage in cloud development, deployment, or migration projects to ensure end-to-end security of business solutions.
• Requirements gathering and specification, development of architecture diagrams, and integration with additional tools
• Document and communicate the security standards, policies, and solutions to allow for quicker and easier adoption.
• Perform security evaluations of Azure services to understand the capabilities of the services and hence the security controls that may be required and/or recommended for secure use of the service.
• Develop governance models for cloud-based solutions including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
Basic Qualifications
- Understanding of security engineering principles
- Frequent use and application of technical principles
- Keen attention to detail and adherence to security engineering practices
Desired skills
• A development background, familiarity with cloud-based security tools, automation, DevOps, and full stack engineering.
• Experience utilizing and developing continuous integration/continuous Pipelines

Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $20,904 - $67,288 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
