ASSYST is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Cybersecurity Engineer. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining and enhancing the backend and frontend of Cybersecurity program tools, ensuring the security and integrity of the systems and data. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with risk management and cybersecurity teams to understand network security requirements.
- Design, implement, and manage network security controls, devices, and solutions.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify network vulnerabilities and potential risks.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other security tools.
- Monitor network traffic for signs of unauthorized access or malicious activities.
- Assist in the development of incident response plans and playbooks.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network security compliance with industry standards.
- Provide network security expertise and guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.
- Prepare and present network security reports to stakeholders and management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining and administering security tools such as ForeScout, Tenable, Splunk, and Invicti / NetSparker in an enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in managing AWS servers and VMware virtual machine environments.
- Strong understanding of network troubleshooting principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and reporting methodologies.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as JIRA and ServiceNow for task and project management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently on assigned tasks.
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required security clearances or certifications as needed by the organization.
