Position DescriptionA qualified Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for leading the IT Departments efforts in hardening our company’s technology resources. They will be the primary contact for security specific vendors, and be actively engaged in security consoles, identifying risks in our endpoints, servers, users, and networks and assisting in the efforts to mitigate those risks. They will find opportunities to optimize security, including ensuring that we are utilizing our resources properly. The Cyber Security Analyst will ensure that our endpoint, server and network resources continue to be PCI compliant, and will be the primary individual reporting on PCI compliance.
Position Responsibilities- Monitor endpoint security agents to ensure all devices are protected.
- Monitor endpoint security agents to mitigate any identified risks.
- Monitor network security agents to mitigate identified risks.
- Monitor security bulletins and resources for critical patch notices.
- Document and train operations staff on secure procedures.
- Assist in creating security policy.
- Engage in user training.
- Direct security efforts of IT department.
- Researches and implements new security risk and mitigation strategies, tools, techniques, and solutions for the prevention, detection, containment, and correction of data security breaches.
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security.
- Preferred experience in Cyber Security administration.
- Knowledge of emergency patching procedures.
- Preferred experience in incident response and disaster recovery.
- Knowledge and experience in root-cause analysis.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
