JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for ensuring the company, guest and team member information stored on computers or networks is not disclosed to unwanted parties or modified inadvertently and creates and maintains security systems. Repairs damage of compromised data and manages incident recovery measures. Responsibilities include installation and maintenance of security software, instructing computer users on security and ensuring networks are free of breaches. May also assist with programming, systems analysis and telecommunications as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS


Required skills and knowledge:

  •  High school diploma or GED certificate.
  •  A bachelor's degree in IT Cyber Security, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  •  Advanced knowledge of OSI model in relation to security.
  •  Two years of Data Security experience including cyber forensics.
  •  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  •  Ability to develop IT network architecture documents.
  •  Administrative abilities, including record keeping and reporting.
  •  Excellent guest service and teamwork skills.
  •  Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
  •  Ability to work without direct supervision.
  •  Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays.
  •  Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.

Preferred skills and knowledge:

  •  Advanced certification in Cyber Security (CISSP, CISA or related certificate)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  •  Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull and lift up to 25 pounds.
  •  Ability to sit, stand or move around continuously for 8 or more hours.
  •  Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: 

  • Monitors their organization's networks for security breaches and investigates violations to identify corrective actions.
  • Installs and uses software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect sensitive information.
  •  Ensures adherence to PCI compliance per MFA requirements.
  • Prepares comprehensive reports that document security breaches.
  • Conducts penetration testing to look for vulnerabilities in casino IT systems or other risk assessments and testing of data processing systems.
  • Researches the latest information technology (IT) security trends.
  • Develops security standards to identify weaknesses and recommends best practices for the organization, continually updating standards for changes in the technology environment.
  • Researching new products and recommends security enhancements and purchases.
  •  Submits written reports to IT Manager regarding integrity issues.
  •  Trains end users where needed to meet the needs of the organization.
  •  Responsible for Guest Service and facilitating the Guest Service Policy.
  •  Assist in creating, testing, and implementing network disaster recovery plan.
  •  Performs other duties as requested.
