General Summary
Performs duties under direct supervision in a particular core competency or business function of the organization in preparation for full-time employment upon graduation. Allows for work during seasonal and holiday breaks in academic programs as well as year-round.
- Applies knowledge and skills acquired through COLSA’s internship program to projects programs, policies, and procedures. *
- Performs a variety of assignments selected to broaden skills and provide practical experience to prepare for progressively more complex assignments.*
- Assists in creating, exploring, evaluating, designing, and sharing solutions and the validity of their predicted performance to resolve problems, conditions, and issues.*
- Assignments are designed to orient, train, and further student technical development

Required Experience
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Cybersecurity
- Must be willing and able to commute to the Huntsville, AL Corporate Office for the duration of the internship
- Prior completion of COLSA’s internship program
- Experience using desktop virtualization applications such as Docker and VMware
- Experience setting up and configuring software on both Linux and Windows systems
- A basic understanding of Cybersecurity as well as IP connected devices, operating systems, and cloud-based infrastructure.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Required:
- Strong communication skills – must be able to adapt between highly technical audiences and business audiences.
- Strong organizational skills – ability to manage multiple tasks and document progress.
- Task Management – must be able to multitask and prioritize work according to business needs.
