Description
SAIC has an opening for a Cyber Engineer. We are cyber matrix team that covers a wide area of skill seeking a new employee to fill out some of our roles. We support multiple programs across ARMY AvMC, USMC, and beyond. The role is located on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Hybrid Remote
- Candidates must be capable of effectively multitasking and working independently as well as in a group.
- Evaluate Weapon System design and engineering artifacts and advice on Army Weapons Systems on any cyber security deficiency.
- Participate in subsystem and component Critical Design Reviews and provide the team feedback on the materials presented from a cyber security design perspective.
- Develop, review and submit ATOs for existing and new Information Systems.
- Develop, review and validate software applications in current Information Systems.
- Apply a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement cyber security solutions.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more of progressive related experience in cyber systems design, integration and analysis of military hardware and software systems/processes; An additional four (4) years of experience may be applied in lieu of a Bachelors.
- Understanding of agile software development practices and procedures
- Experience w/ DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages on intrusion detection and classified systems
- Skills in dealing with airworthiness certification for aviation equipment
- Skills with ACAS and Nessus vulnerability scanners
- Significant knowledge of RMF 2.0 and CONMON process
- Experience obtaining IATT’s, ATO’s, and other package types
PRE-HIRE CERTIFICATION:
- Security+ Required
CLEARANCE:
- Active US DoD Secret Security Clearance required; Top Secret Security Clearance is desired
- U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
