· MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
o Valid Driver’s License
o 2+ Years of Working Agriculture Experience (School, Job Related, etc.)
o High school diploma (or equivalent) or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
· QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
o Farm, ranch and/or lawn & garden business experience
o Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in a manner with co-workers and customers
o Commitment to excellence and high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service
o Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills
o Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and data entry systems
o Highly motivated
o Positive attitude
o Desire to grow and succeed
· ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
o Greeting customers and promptly assessing their wants and needs
o Advising customers on purchase options
o Utilizing customer-focused selling skills, add-on selling, closing skills and other sales generating skills
o Practice punctual and reliable attendance
o Maintaining a clean and organized store at all times
o Keeping products stocked on a regular basis and making sure all products are properly labeled
o Helping to accurately purchase and receive products in a timely manner
o Developing strategies to grow sales
o Answering phone calls in a professional manner
o Building relationships with vendors
o Performing all other duties as assigned
· PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
o Periods of walking/standing for a significant amount of time
o Ability to lift, carry and load 50+ pounds
