Responsibilities

• Assist assigned accounts with reviewing client claim data to determine OSHA recordability for each WC claim or incident that comes to Gallagher Bassett. Use guidelines as set by OSHA to determine recordability

• Monitors each open WC claim and updates recordability status. Ensures accuracy of each claim entry in the OSHA portion of LUMINOS (for the OSHA Log) and provides monthly reports of all recordable-only claims current year through the last week in the given month

• Uses OSHA's guidelines and medical notes and information input by the GB Claims Adjuster to monitor the claims and determine recordability. Once recordability is determined, enter the information into the LUMINOS claims system

• On a monthly basis, recheck open/pending claims and those pending further investigation to determine recordability (monthly true-up)

• Work closely with Gallagher Bassett claims adjusters and account managers to resolve claim recordability discrepancies and update data in the claim file

• Creates and distributes to clients weekly/monthly and end-of-year reports that summarize claims reviewed for recordability

• During the month of January, assist the client in transferring this information to their OSHA 300 and 300A logs, which are due by February 1st

• Position is dedicated to one account to determine claim recordability. Account size is approximately 3,000 claims per year

• Job tasks are focused, time sensitive and require good communication, organizational and investigative skills. Majority of time spent on the computer

• Attention to detail is critical

Quality Assurance

• Participate and assist with all OSHA Advocate quality assurance initiatives (phone calls, surveys, etc.)
• Attend weekly TEAMS check-in calls with OSHA Advocate Team
• Maintain a positive working relationship with GB-RCCS clients as well as internal/external GB/Gallagher personnel

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• 2 years related experience required

Preferred:

• Attention to detail, organization, knowledge of Excel, familiarity with OSHA
• Able to work well independently, resolve discrepancies, constructively communicate with clients, GB account managers and adjuster
• Claims experience preferred
• Familiar and confident with the use of online technology, as well as willing to explore and work with new technology
• Innovative, creative, and willing to present new ideas and solutions to grow the resources and capabilities of the OSHA Advocate Service
• Able to manage multiple tasks, meet multiple deadlines, and available to assist with situations that call for extra work hours and/or assist other team members
