General Summary: A nonexempt position responsible for answering clinic phones, scheduling patient appointments, relaying messages and transferring phone calls in a courteous, professional and articulate manner.
Position type: Full-time
Hours: M-F, 8-5
Starting Salary: $15/hr
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Answers multi-line telephone system in a professional, courteous, articulate and business-like manner.
- Handles and addresses all calls efficiently as to eliminate/reduce the number of missed or dropped calls.
- Schedules patient appointments, MRI appointments and bone density screening appointments timely, courteously, and accurately.
- Accurately enters patient demographic and insurance information into HIM system(s).
- Records complete messages and sends to the appropriate staff member.
- Electronically files documentation into patient charts accurately and timely.
Experience: Six months previous experience working with a multi-line phone system or PBX preferred. Experience working in a medical office environment preferred.
