Job Summary:
A Customer Service Representative to handle the day-to-day operations in scheduling inbound freight deliveries whilst providing exceptional Customer Service to all customers, colleagues, and the community. In addition to the specifics below, we are looking for someone who is motivated, willing to learn, and be part of a great team.
Requirements
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office for pickups.
• Answering phones in a professional manner, and routing calls as necessary.
• Contact customers to coordinate freight deliveries and pickups.
• Data entry into scheduling calendar
• Provide excellent Customer Service.
• Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
• Promptly communicate with customers, carriers, and other staff members via phone or emails
• Assist drivers with point of contacts for pickups/deliveries.
• Handle misroutes and/or re-routes as necessary.
• Notify customers of known delays or discrepancies
• Efficiently identify and handle all necessary shipping documentation.
• Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
• Offering administrative support across the organization
• Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.

Education and Experience:

• High school degree, or equivalent
• Freight and Logistics is a plus!
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
