Job Summary
Under the leadership of the Customer Service Manager, the Customer Service/Materials Representative supports the Customer Service and materials departments by working externally with customers and vendors, and internally with materials, quality, finance, and operations to meet customer due dates, and internal monthly goals.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports Customer Service Manager in managing all customer accounts and ensuing administrative functions
- Calculates, prepares, and issues customer estimates and quotes
- Works with Operations and Materials to ensure customer due dates and Midway monthly sales goals are met
- Establishes and promotes effective relationships with external/ internal customers, and vendors that maximizes customer experience and fosters company culture
- Provides back up assistance for Customer Service Manager, and as needed for Materials Department
- Assists in materials resource planning (MRP) within levels adequate to ensure deliveries meet customer timelines and quote parameters
- Assists in expediting deliveries as required by customer needs
- Conducts oneself and interacts with others in a manner that supports company goals, initiatives, and culture
- Provides support and assistance to other functions and operating units of Midway, as directed
Qualifications
- 3+ years of previous Customer Service experience
- Excellent time management, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Experience using an ERP, preferably Pentagon
- Strong computer proficiency that includes standard MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to deal with rapid and frequent priority changes
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to problem solve and “think on your feet” to provide excellent Customer Service
- Solid understanding of transactions, business processes and systems to make decisions that best serve the customer
- Materials planning experience (preferred)
- Experience in an aviation setting, preferably an MRO (preferred)
- Compensation starts at $22.00/hour
