Temp Customer Service Support for DSP Specialist
We need support with Customer Service support around housing accommodation. The temp would have the following responsibilities and would need the following skills and knowledge:
Responsibilities
● Sit in on medical documentation review sessions with DSP and Cal Housing to understand the individual cases flow.
● Is the primary point of contact via phone, email, and in-person walk-ins for students, their families, and medical providers who need clarification or additional support around the different stages of their individual accommodation requests.
● Assist students in navigating the application process and securing reasonable accommodations in the application process, if necessary.
Required Qualifications
● Demonstrated experience in and ability to meet multiple deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with competing priorities.
● Advanced ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
● Advanced computer proficiency and analytical skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, and enterprise systems and programs.
● Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including political acumen, and ability to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels within the University and with outside agencies as well.
● Demonstrated de-escalation skills and active listening skills in difficult interactions.
● Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate student needs and campus responsibilities to faculty, staff, and students throughout the organization.
● Demonstrated cultural proficiency in connecting with and serving students from varying cultural backgrounds.
● Must function proficiently in both a Mac and PC environment.
Preferred Qualifications
● Documented experience successfully managing a caseload
● Direct experience with coordination of support programming for students with disabilities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.19 - $25.52 per hour
