Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Department: Customer Service
Reports To: Director of Customer Service
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the primary point of contact for our customers and consumers. The CSR’s assist our customers while providing a positive experience. This requires identifying and providing proactive and immediate solutions for our customers when needed. The CSR is also responsible for managing a set of accounts and processing orders through SAP. The CSR develops and builds relationships with accounts. The CSR will also provide administrative support as needed.
Essential Functions
Customer Communication
- Respond and follow up on inquiries verbal/written with customers, vendors and consumers
- Includes internal and external customers
- Utilizes Zendesk to address comments, questions and complaints
- Follows up and follows through on all customer comments, questions and complaints
Account Management
- Processes EDI, email, fax and phone orders
- Coordinates transportation
- Follows orders through to delivery
Administrative Support
- Prepares reports for shipping/receiving, sales, production, inventory, or as requested.
- Provide administrative support for management and team as needed
- Document scanning
- Good, clear written correspondence
- Coordinates and assists with events and activities as requested
- General assistance with office tasks
Additional Responsibilities:
Aside from the specific areas identified herein, performs practical hands on work and other related duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience
- High School degree/GED and 3 to 5 year’s professional Customer Service experience
- Combination higher education and experience a plus
- 3 to 5 year’s Customer Service experience in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
- Experience working within a production and/or sales environment a plus
Knowledge and Skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills: positive, respectful and customer focused
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to comprehend, capture and interpret basic customer information
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Professional attitude, enthusiastic and reliable
- Results/deadline oriented with effective follow through
- Skilled with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with SAP and/or EDI a plus
- Strong administrative skills

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop or crouch. The employee may occasionally be required to lift up to 20-40 lbs.
