What you will do:
- As a Customer Service Representative you will provide world-class support to customers in a busy call-center environment, via incoming phone, e-mails, faxes and online support.
- Handle pre-purchase requests from the sales team. This includes order availability, pricing questions, freight quotes, credit status, and order status. All inquiries should receive a response within 24 hours of receipt.
- Order Entry: Input and expedite customer orders into computer database within 24 hours of receipt. This role is responsible for all aspects of order accuracy including but not limited to address, terms, carrier, pricing/commissions, order status, and product availability. Monitor and provide accountability for order completion through daily reporting.
- Work closely with the internal teams to assure orders are assigned the appropriate ship dates, to monitor order status for timely shipment, and communicate proactively with customers on order completion and shipment.
- Organization and consistent follow-through is needed to support seasonal turnaround deadlines. Strong communication and coordination with other departmentswill ensure customer satisfaction.
- Does require technical troubleshooting on our products by phone and email.
- Off-season projects will be required – These may include Customer Service surveys, telemarketing campaigns, database maintenance, process improvement assistance, etc.
What you need to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
- Previous Customer Service experience- non-retail preferred.
- This position will require an individual who is resourceful, persistent, has strong ability to learn products and processes, and possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function, often under pressure, without continuous supervision.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with JDE and Business Objects software systems a plus.
- Previous office setting experience a plus.
