Candidates with prior Airfreight, Port Experience and or logistics' background will have first consideration. A good attitude is always more important than experience, all qualified applicants are equal.

Description:

We are seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative in our San Diego, CA Terminal with a can-do attitude to learn and grow within our company.

Job Purpose:

Serves customers by verifying pick up and deliveries, dispatching drivers, data entry, maintain records, e-mail correspondence and provide excellent Customer Service.

Duties:

• Keep customers informed by forwarding notice of freight status, shipment date, time, method, answering questions; via phone and or e-mail.
• Arranges shipments by entering service orders/requests; anticipating delivery requirements; placing and expediting orders.
• Coordinate and dispatch Pick Up and Deliveries of items by examining items, destination, route, rate, and delivery time.
• Verifies items shipped by matching bills of lading; noting discrepancies.
• Documents damaged items, shortages, and mis-shipments
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
