Hotel Surplus Outlet is seeking a Customer Service associate to join the team at our Lake Balboa location. We are a retail/resale warehouse store, open to the public seven days a week.
We are a 28 year old family-owned business, selling a wide range of furniture, furnishings and more! .We started as hotel and resort furniture liquidators, but have greatly expanded our offerings over the years... In addition to hotel furniture and fixtures, we handle a variety of associated hospitality items, and our selections are always changing.
We are also new furniture dealers, with a wide selection of stylish goods at our store.. We are dealers for several new furniture manufacturers.
We have a relaxed and casual atmosphere at our Lake Balboa warehouse store. We are strong believers in team work, and rely on collaboration and synergies among our team to help customers, fill orders and solve problems.
We are seeking outgoing and personable team member. Positive energy and an outgoing attitude is a huge plus for us. It is our ultimate aim to provide a great customer experience without pressure.
Rate of starting pay depends on experience, pertinent knowledge and initial capabilities, but there is room for advancement for dedicated associates.

Responsibilities
- Greet and guide customers
- Answer incoming calls
- Process customer orders
- Provide information about products, pricing, and shipping
- Keep records of all interactions and process customer documents
- Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
- Take the extra mile to engage customers
- Find solutions as needed to solve customer concerns.
Skills
- Proven work experience in retail sales and/or Customer Service Representative
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
- Customer orientation and ability to adapt respond to different types of characters
- Familiarity with computers and accessing basic online data base
- Ability to compose emails and handle incoming inquiries
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

- Day shift
Weekly day range:
- Every weekend
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends only
