Sales Assistant Job Description
Jones Wholesale Lumber Co, a leader in the lumber wholesale market in the western US region, is seeking a full-time Customer Sales Representative to become part of a dynamic team.
Summary
Responsible for supporting sales staff by providing administrative, clerical, and customer support. Follows up with customers and vendors, completes orders and Purchase Orders, and general assist in the sales office as a team member.
Primary responsibilities
- Support 1-2 salespeople.
- Answer incoming telephone calls & emails to assist customer inquiries.
- Enter Sales Orders and Purchase Orders into system.
- Facilitate changes to Sales Orders/Purchase Orders when needed.
- Respond to emails, phone calls, and other forms of correspondence.
- Support customer relationships by providing positive & effective interaction.
- Liaison between sales and other production departments within the company (eg. Dispatch, S/R, mill, yard, etc) .
- Cover and break receptionist as needed.
- Great professional position with potential pathway to a Sales Representative position if desired.
Skills/Qualifications:
- 2 years of Sales experience preferred.
- Experience and knowledge in Lumber Industry is a plus!
- Data Entry Skills, Fast-learner, Impeccable Organizational Skills, Clear and Confident Communication Skills, Attention to Detail, Professionalism, a Clear Commitment to the Customer Experience and a Team Player!
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
