Customer Service (Part-Time) Self Storage

This is a part-time position, approximately 24 hours a week that will include, Friday 8:00pm - 5:00pm, Saturday 10:00am-7:00pm and Sunday 8:00am-5:00pm and other fill in shifts for other team members time off. Shifts could change and flexibility is important.

We are hiring for a Self Storage Consultant to work at a Self Storage Facility in Lake Elsinore, CA

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations with other team members or individually
• Rent storage units in a competitive marketplace
• Present and process lease contracts and other storage documents
• Must be able to accurately handle cash and balance receipts, post payments and process daily bank deposits accurately
• Make collection calls
• Perform Customer Service techniques daily
• Perform lock checks at least twice a day
• Answer phones in a professional, friendly and pleasant manner
• Greet customers promptly and professionally
• Effectively operate computer system
• Perform custodial duties, clean vacated units, U-Hauls and minor maintenance
• Stock and sell moving and storage supplies
• Work independently or as part of a team
• Willingness to take direction from supervisors when needed
• Assist with U-Haul operations
• Follow all company policies and procedures

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Clear and effective communication in English, both oral and written
• Excellent Customer Service skills and a minimum of one years in sales, Customer Service preferred
• Ability to work effectively on your own or as part of a team
• Punctuality and integrity
• Ability to multi-task; dealing frequently with both tasks and customers
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other email programs; the ability to quickly learn storage and related industry software Basic math skills, to include the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and use decimals and percentages Ability to understand legalities of lease information and to follow self-storage lien laws and company policies and procedures Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the desire to take pride in your work Willingness to follow directions, work within rules and accept constructive criticism Know how to use common sense and reason with customers and at the site
• Must have valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Successful completion of a background check
• This position REQUIRES weekends.
• Must have dependable transportation. Hours/shifts are subject to change as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week

Shift:

• 4 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Morning shift

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Rotating weekends
• Weekends as needed
• Weekends only
