Navient has immediate openings for temporary, Customer Service Representatives Onsite In our Horseheads, NY office! The Customer Service Representative role is a inbound call center position. This role is responsible for providing prompt and accurate information guiding callers through troubleshooting, providing detailed case statuses & next steps and navigating necessary websites.
- $18/hour!

This is a temporary assignment is anticipated to extend from 6 to 12 months with the potential for a permanent role. This temporary position is not eligible for benefits.
Mandatory Training Hours: Paid Virtual Training Hours (first 10 days of employment) Day 1: 8 AM – 5 PM EST; Days 2-10: 9 AM – 6 PM EST
Regular Scheduled Hours: Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM. NO WEEKENDS!
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience in servicing customers with professionalism, diplomacy and consideration for the customer’s requests or concern
- Paid Virtual Training Hours (first 10 days of employment) Day 1: 8 AM – 5 PM EST; Days 2-10: 9 AM – 6 PM EST. Training is conducted Monday – Friday for the first two weeks; attendance is 100% mandatory. If you are not able to complete your two weeks of mandatory training and miss more than 4 hours, your employment may be terminated.*
- Regular Full Time Schedule: Hours of operation are 9 AM -6PM EST . Due to the nature of our business, job responsibilities and requirements are subject to change depending on business needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior experience in a high-volume call center preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English & Spanish
