Customer Service is responsible for providing effective customer service for customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company services by communicating effectively with team members.
Job Duties
- Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer order status and service knowledge requests.
- Processes customer orders/changes/returns according to established department policies and procedures.
- Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns.
- Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer service expectations.
- Resolves customer complaints via phone, email, mail, or social media.
- Conducts Morning meetings to establish target dates and provide customer feedback.
- Organize workflow to meet customer timeframes.
- Direct requests and unresolved issues to the designated resource.
- Maintain customer databases.
- Provide delivery information.
- Set up new customer accounts.
- Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
- Maintain records of missed commitment dates and reasons for late shipments
- Set-up deliveries, pricing, and pick up dates for outside processing
- Prepare reports as needed for high volume customers
Educational and Work Experience Requirements
- High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Knowledge of relevant computer applications like excel.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures.
- Knowledge of plating processes.

- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to alternate standing and sitting for 8 hours.
- Ability to see or correct to 20/20.
- Ability to hear.
- Ability to distinguish color (pass a colorblind test).
- Ability to communicate in both verbal and written forms.
