Abacus Technology is seeking a Customer Relationship Manager to provide IT asset management for the eMITS program at Langley Research Center. This is a full-time position.
- Serve as an advisor and consultant to the Langley CIO team regarding Agency and Center Commercial IT Management support (CITM) initiatives.
- Attend, participate, and when required, lead CITM-related meetings and projects.
- Assist Langley Customers in the purchase of new software licenses and ensure no lapse in coverage where possible.
- Serve as the Center POC for software audits and related activities, responding as needed to data calls from the Enterprise Software Procurement (ESP) for Center licensing information and usage.
- Produce timely and thorough work products that are compliant with all CITM regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Support new and current Center and Agency procurement consolidation efforts requiring the use of the ESP at the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC).
- Provide guidance to customers about the status of consolidated procurements and assist with issues or other needs in relation to such procurements.
- Identify and/or participate in opportunities to improve processes, products, and services to reduce costs and/or improve overall operations and customer service.
- Monitor performance of the Center License Server for software such as but not limited to, MATLAB, LabView, and Adobe.
- Approve NAMS requests and track license allocations and assignments for services such as Mural, Google Workspace, and X-Win32.
8+ years experience in asset management and software licensing. Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with a focus on relationship building. Excellent customer service skills. Must be an expert with MS Excel. Proficient in Windows and the MS Office suite. Effective deductive reasoning and troubleshooting skills. Proficient in multitasking in a fast-paced work environment. Adaptable to change and inconsistency in the workplace. Analytical and organization skills and experience with inventory management. Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities. Attention to detail and strong documentation skills. Able to conduct research into a wide range of IT related issues. Able to present ideas easily to your intended audience. Aptitude for understanding and learning new information technologies desired. Able to work in a team environment with a diverse group. Experience with SharePoint and/or ServiceNow a plus. Must be a US citizen.
