Customer Operational Readiness Manager - Dallas, TX in GAC Dallas

Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Maintenance Management required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 10 years corporate aviation experience to include 5 years direct experience with Gulfstream Product Support organization. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
Position Purpose:
Responsible for managing the Customer Operational Readiness Specialist and Cabin Systems Specialists assigned to them. The Customer Operational Readiness (COR) team serves as a single point of contact between Gulfstream Product Support and its customers for all issues related to product support prior to the aircraft going into service. Responsible for ensuring the customer is ready to successfully operate the aircraft starting the first day of entry into service.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
  1. Provide leadership and guidance for the assigned COR/CSS team members.
  2. Prepare the customer for entry into service by providing detailed information specifically related to the operation of the customer's aircraft and operations.
  3. Introduce customer to all aspects of Gulfstream's product support network at time of new aircraft delivery by presenting a detailed and thorough briefing.
  4. Instruct, guide, and facilitate the customer with Gulfstream's service and support network to include establishing a credit account with Gulfstream, and CMP access to for the aircraft.
  5. Provide customer with formal written reports and updates addressing issues, actions in progress and final resolutions.
  6. Communicate customer product support issues and dissatisfactions to other departments within Gulfstream to facilitate a more corporate-wide awareness of customer satisfaction and dissatisfaction levels.
  7. Work with the Completions Delivery Executive to make sure the customer has completed everything needed prior to aircraft entry into service.
  8. Conduct a review with the customer of the aircraft operation to include utilizing COR evaluation criteria and checklist, and assist the customer with completing any open issues prior to aircraft delivery.
  9. Ensure COR and CSS team are adequately trained and prepared.
  10. Maintain daily contact with other Gulfstream organizations, customers and vendors in order to exchange information, coordinate activities, and resolve problems encountered in daily operations.
  11. Work with COR team to ensure full understanding of any issues or concerns delivering into service with the aircraft as well as briefing the team on results of the CORE review.

Additional Functions:
  1. Provide management with formal status reports as required. ensuring awareness of various situations and customer communications. .

Perform other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements:
  1. FAA Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics License preferred.
  2. Broad overall knowledge of aircraft systems and an intimate knowledge of all aspects of supporting an in-service Gulfstream aircraft.
  3. In-depth knowledge of Gulfstream product line.
  4. Knowledge of applicable FAA regulations and familiarity with foreign certification requirements.
  5. Knowledge of Gulfstream manufacturing and Completion policies and procedures preferred.
  6. Strong Windows based operating system computer skills to include basic programming skills.
  7. Familiarity with SalesLogix and SAP, experience with Corridor preferred.
  8. Must be willing to support customer needs and issues during and after normal working hours.
  9. Must be willing and able to travel as required.
  10. Familiarity dealing with foreign customs and languages in conjunction with supporting employees working and residing in foreign countries.
