Job Summary:
The Operational and Market Readiness Associate will assist in the process of transitioning LRE assets from construction to commercial operation by aiding in the market administrative and readiness processes. Additionally, they will ensure that the assets maintain their ISO operability and eligibilities throughout the life of the project under the direction of the Manager of Operations and Market Readiness. They will be responsible for market registrations and implementation activities in all ISO/RTOs and will play a role in the turnover of the projects to Asset Management. The Associate will coordinate activities with the LRE Construction and Operations team.
Essential Functions:

  • Assist in the market registration, implementation, and reporting activities for new and existing LRE assets across all ISO/RTO regions.
  • Coordinate with project execution and Development(Construction, Transmission and Operations) to align EPC schedule and required ISO/RTO registration/operational milestones (back-feed, test requirements, etc.) for testing and to achieve COD.
  • Coordinate with project execution to achieve milestones and provide submissions required by ISO/RTO for successful transition to operations.

  • Coordinate with project execution to include market registration (including data interconnectivity requirements) milestones in P6 to align EPC milestones with Market Readiness process.
  • Take part in the asset ISO asset registration process allowing for transition to commercial operation.
  • Support Market Participant Scheduling Coordinator and QSE certification efforts in identified regions to ensure Market Readiness of LRE assets and Energy Services.
  • Coordinate in the application process for access to Market portals.
  • Coordinate RFI's and Data Requests and the communication (together with counsel) related to market activities. (NERC, FERC, CFTC, exchanges, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Asset Management in relationship management with PPA off-takers and lenders, for RFI's and data requests.
  • Aid in the development and document processes needed to transition assets from construction to operations.
  • Monitor, and participate as necessary, in stakeholder proceedings in ERCOT and ISO/RTO markets

  • Monitor regulatory/administrative proceedings at PUCT and FERC
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • 2 to 5 years' experience as an ISO market registration and regulatory reporting lead.
  • Ability to understand and work with EPC schedules.
  • Experience with ISO, NERC and FERC regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Experience with commercialization of assets.
  • Ability to analyze and organize data to drive solutions and action plans.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate multiple information requests.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and organize workflows.
  • Must hold Bachelors Degree in Business or STEM.
  • Proficient with Excel, Power Point and Word
Physical Demands:
  • This position will travel 20% of time
  • Position will require sitting for long periods of time as well as occasionally lifting up to twenty- pound boxes.
