About the Role
This position reports to the Quality Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties of Decostar as described below:
Your Responsibilities
- Collect and distribute approved boundary samples and quality standards to the Control Plan Administrators (for each department). Communicate, train, document, and post these standards according to CPA/QS-9000 requirements.
- Support customers at their locations during launches and through production to address their concerns in a timely and professional manner (interface with SQE's, production supervisors, engineers, line operators).
- Participate in trials and investigations pertaining to product fit, functioning, in system damage, new product launches, current production parts, racks, packaging, etc. with APQP program managers.
- Learn product's flow, process, and assembly componentry as to respond efficiently. Have a complete understanding of Decostar's process flows and product lines.
- Responsible for issuing Return Material Authorizations (RMA) and dispositioning of those at Decostar.
- Sort materials required to address customer concerns with Decostar liaison(s) and Decostar team members (onsite and/or offsite).
Who we are looking for
- Someone to participate in continuous improvement programs and activities to ensure meeting of departmental performance objectives.
- Able to maintain appropriate records.
- Travel as required to customer or sequencing locations to respond expediently to concerns. Maintain accurate expense information and receipts obtained during travel to complete and expense report as per the Decostar expense report procedure.
- Communication skills between the customer and Decostar personnel in a detailed manner.
Your preferred qualifications
- Associates degree required. Six years work related experience (three years of work for every one year of schooling) may be substituted in lieu of degree. Work experience combined with current schooling towards degree will be considered.
- Minimum two years experience in quality assurance required.
- Demonstrated strong written and oral communications skills a must.
- Must be computer literate in the windows environment.
