Position Description:

We are seeking an Intern for the position of Java Full Stack Developer who is excited to build apps in high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate should possess Core Java skills and proficiency in web development using React, coupled with a sound understanding of building and deploying microservices. As an integral member of our multi-disciplinary and highly skilled technical teams, you will play a key role in learning, designing, developing, testing, debugging, and documenting software. Your contributions will focus on delivering high-quality technical solutions and services that not only add business value but also foster continuous improvement throughout the organization. This will be a good opportunity for the Intern to participate in integrating with a new payment processor.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop globally deployed cloud based micro-services solutions with high availability. 
  2. Engage in full stack application design and development using Java, React, AWS, SQL.
  3. Assist the web team in creating new web pages as well as maintaining existing pages in
  4. Identify and troubleshoot software-related issues, , ensuring effective problem resolution.
  5. Collaborate in an Agile Scrum team to develop software using technologies like Java, React, SQL, AWS Services, CI/CD pipelines etc.
  6. Work with product owner, UX designer and architect to gather requirements.

Preferred Qualifications 

  1. In the process of a bachelor's degree in computer science 
  2. A firm grasp of the front-end fundamentals and knowledge of scalable and performant web application development: JavaScript, CSS, HTML
  3. Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React.
  4. Experience with object-oriented programming language (preferably Java)
  5. Exposure to microservice-based architecture
  6. Experience with integrating data from APIs into an application.
  7. Experience with Relational database (Preferable MySQL)
  8. Exposure to cloud computing technologies (AWS preferred)
  9. Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools like Jenkins.
  10. Able to follow standard instructions, practices, and procedures.
  11. Self-motivated, team player, detail-oriented
  12. Ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  13. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
  14. Understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
  15. Exposure to DevOps practices.

12 Week Schedule:  

Week 1-3: Coming onboard, getting familiar with internal tools and processes, and grasp the intricacies of integrating with the new Payment processor.

Week 4-6: Collaborate with the team on development of Subscription Purchases.

Week 7-10: Finalize the Subscription Purchase tasks and develop Renewal processing.

Week 10-12: Assist the team in Documentation, automation testing, and Deployment support.

How we support you: 

  • Paid; 12 weeks starting on Monday, May 27, 2024 through August 16, 2024 
  • Schedule - 40 hours/week, Monday- Friday, 9 - 5 or regular core hours
  • Hybrid environment (minimum 3 days in office location)
