Customer Care Representative

Pacific Whale Foundation has an immediate opening for a Customer Care Representative. The Customer Care Representative works at the direction of the Customer Care Manager an is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to our guests and supporting agencies, placing accurate and efficient reservations using our reservation system, and promoting all company tours and activities.

The Customer Care Representative will also be responsible for promotion and closing of cruise sales, programs and merchandise, checking in with customers per company procedures, maintain accurate knowledge of PWF's mission, goals, objectives, company structure, cruises and programs to aid in answering customer questions and directing sales, actively promote the benefits of membership to our customers - adopt a whale and adopt a dolphin programs, contact passengers to reschedule or process refunds on cancelled/consolidated tours, organize activity partner vouchers and manifests from check-in and clears all passengers in the system from daily trips, and maintains a clean, safe and organized work environment, while supporting the organizations commitment to Pacific Whale Foundations Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion efforts.

The successful candidate possesses at least 6 months of experience in customer service, comfortable interacting with the public; positive approach to resolving problems in stressful situations, ability to lift 50lbs, requires extended periods of sitting and standing during work, excellent communication skills and friendly demeanor; and ability to work the phone/reservation system quickly to maximize sales opportunities.

Applicants must currently live on Maui or be willing to move here.

This is a regular, full time, hourly, non-exempt; onsite position based at our headquarters in Ma'alaea Harbor on the beautiful island of Maui.

Compensation is $15.50/hour onwards + commission.

The ideal candidate is proficient in MC Office, internet and Fareharbor (preferred), in addition to their commitment to Pacific Whale Foundations mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.
