Background & Purpose of the Job
Customer Development (CD) is what we call our Sales organization at Unilever. CD works closely with customers to pioneer new products, build categories, and deploy best-in-class retail and shopper capabilities.
The primary purpose of the Customer Business Manager (CBM) – Seventh Generation position is to develop sustained business relationships with and drive profitable sales volume through Albertsons.
The CBM is responsible for creating and executing joint business plans that achieve volume goals while adhering to investment targets. They work with cross-functional partners to optimize product distribution, pricing, promotion and shopper engagement to drive profitable growth for Unilever and Albertsons.
Success in this role is accomplished by deeply understanding the needs of Albertsons shoppers, Albertsons decision makers and Unilever/Seventh Generation decision makers, then developing solutions that meet their needs.
This position is located in Boise, ID. Remote location may be acceptable for highly qualified candidates.
The Customer Business Manager – Seventh Generation must be customer driven and possess Grocery Channel and Customer Development expertise. Responsibilities for this position include proactive analysis of current business trends, which includes identifying future opportunities and minimizing potential risks to the existing business, annual planning and monthly promotional submissions to Albertsons using their systems, volume and spend planning, internal S&OP discussion for assigned brands, an understanding of Category drivers and trends, and an understanding of IRI and Unilever sales reporting systems. Prior broker management experience is preferred.

You’re a dot connector: Routinely interface with multiple internal and external departments; Balance individual customer needs while ensuring total Market integrity
What You’ll Need To Succeed:
Undergraduate degree is required with 6+ years of proven Business Manager experience with a key strategic customer is a must
Trade Marketing and Category Management experience is a plus
Working knowledge of IRI, Sales Force, EYC, and Customer POS Data is strongly desired
Must be skilled in verbal and written communications
Must be able to effectively relate with multiple levels of management, both internally and externally
Must be a strategic thinker that can work effectively, and in a highly collaborative manner
Complexity and time management challenges
Must have strong relationship building and management skills
Pay: The pay range for this position is $96,000 to $143,900. Unilever takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
Long-Term Incentive (LTI): This position is LTI eligible.
