Custom Extrusion Operator

Tex-Trude LP , a privately held company, has been in business since 1952. It has 3 main divisions operating out of one manufacturing complex: polyethylene blown film, PVC profile extrusion and PVC flexible compounding. We are located on the Eastside of Houston at 2001 Sheldon Road, Channelview, Texas 77530.

Extrusion Operator

We are currently seeking a Full-timeExtrusion Operatorto join our team in Channelview, TX. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and possess a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

· Operate machines to create custom products.

· Read and understand all production documents and order forms.

· Follow work instructions and deadlines set by the company leadership.

· Maintain clean and orderly work area.

· Follow all safety procedures and regulations.

· Work with a team to accomplish assigned tasks.

· Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.

· Willing to learn all functions of Extrusion.

· Set up jobs and identify proper materials needed for production.

· Help check and maintain quality of product.

· General Housekeeping includes keeping the bathroom clean.

· General preventative maintenance on machines (lubing, cleaning, etc.)

· Drive a forklift (willing to train)

· Properly fill out labels, production logs and palletize material.

· Other duties as required.

· Nonsmoking facility and no Headphones/earbuds

Qualifications:

· Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

· Able to work 12-hour shifts. (Day shift Training)

· Must be able to tolerate seasonally hot and cold work environment.

· Safety oriented.

· Basic math skills.

· A good attitude.

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Ability to read a tape measure is required.

· Candidates with prior manufacturing experience are preferred.

· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during a work shift.
