POSITION: CUSTODIAL SUPERVISOR- SECOND SHIFT
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF CUSTODIAL SERVICES
NORMAL WORK AREA: CAMPUS BUILDINGS
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
1. High school graduate
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
1. Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required
2. Two years custodial work experience preferred
3. Computer skills required; specifically Google (Docs, Sheets, etc)/Microsoft Office
4. Must have managerial and administrative abilities; diplomacy and relational skills are
essential
TRAINING TIME
1. Ninety days to learn details of job
2. Six months to perform all job related duties
DUTIES AND OTHER JOB RELATED ACTIVITIES
1. Responsible for instructing housekeepers of their duties or changes in duties, and
instruction in proper use of chemicals, cleaning policies, and procedures
2. Responsible for communicating with the Director of Custodial Services daily in order to
discuss and prioritize all pending tasks
3. Responsible for daily monitoring of second shift employees’ work progress to include
performing regular inspections of employees assigned areas
4. Responsible for timekeeping, including monitoring and approving, for direct reports
5. Responsible for completing performance evaluations for second shift employees
6. Responsible for issuing corrective action, when necessary, with the input of the Director
of Custodial Services
7. Responsible for completing the duties of those who cannot report to work due to prior
approved absences or illness
8. Responsible for completing any work the Director of Custodial Services deems necessary
